First the blurb:
She has the guy. The terrorists have been taken care of and she is on the brink of being popular. Life is GREAT! Until they find her. Now she must run and leave behind everything she knows, including herself.
Okay, so if you read "Watched," you remember our poor Christy. Insecure, not sure how to act around boys or how to dress, basically a (yeah, I'm going to say it) nerd. After her fateful trip to DC, she thinks things will change, but she finds out that she's still the same girl and still has the same problems.
After a series of tragic adventures,--not going to spoil it--Christy gets a chance to become the person she's always wanted to be. But, somehow, she needs to still figure out how to hold on to the part of herself that is "her."
I loved this book. Everyone has things that they wish they could change about themselves, and Christy is given the chance to do just that. It was fascinating and empowering, watching her go through these changes and taking control of her life.
Way to go, Cindy Hogan! Two thumbs up!
Hop on over to Karen's and let's keep this party going! http://karenamandahooper.blogspot.com/2012/04/protected.html
