The Whitney Awards

Two of my books: BECOMING LADY LOCKWOOD and LADY EMMA'S CAMPAIGN were nominated as finalists for the 2015 Whitney Awards.
A Whitney is an award for novels by LDS authors.
And we have a Splendid Gala.

My heart overflows every time I sit down to write this post, and when I look at that beautiful award. I was nominated with the best people I can imagine.
I learned to write from them. I read their books. I idolize them, and I can't even begin to express how proud it made me for my books to be nominated along side theirs and to stand with them on that stage.

The night was overwhelming and memorable, and more special than I can imagine.
Here are some highlights.

My sisters came
My handsome husband was there
My very dearest friends sat with me

And cheered when my name was called.
I gave a speech that I can't remember.

And I cheered for them too.

Yay for Lady Lockwood!

  1. Wow! Huge congratulations!!!! I was sad to have missed the gala, even though I was at the rest of the conference. Sounds like it was an amazing experience.
